Voted Best Massage Therapist (2012, 2013, 2014)

I came across this photo and realized that seven years ago I was voted BEST Massage Therapist (2012, 2013, 2014) in the Best of South Kitsap’s annual business recognition.  Thanks to everyone in my community who voted for me.  I attribute my big sweep to my membership in the Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce. 🙂 I feel deeply blessed by my wonderful clients, and my community. I love helping people feel better.

I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2008. As a manual therapist, I specialize in CranioSacral Therapy, a gentle touch modality that helps reduce fascial, and visceral restrictions so that our central nervous system functions better. This helps down-regulate the stress response, peel away trauma, and bring the body back to homeostasis.

In the past three years I have become a Mastery Certified Health Coach specializing in Digestive Health. I am a complete science geek, and health nut, and although I can share a book, or resources, I wanted to become a master of habit change. So that I can help people become successful at making change that lasts, and better their health outcomes.

Why gut health? All of our health is affected by what we put into our body, the health or our organs, and the body’s ability to break down our food, and put it to use. You might notice anxiety, or digestive distress, or you might have some ailment that seems completely unrelated to digestion… Maybe you’ve got an autoimmune disorder, or a genetic predisposition toward some scary sounding outcome. Epigenetics shows that we have the ability to make lifestyle changes that can affect our health outcomes in positive way. This is super exciting to me. There are no quick fixes. But you can make small changes, that will have a big impact on your health, and your longevity.

I lost my mother to colon cancer when she was 57–now almost 20 years ago. Her outcome has become my guiding light, leading me to investigate leaky gut, inflammation, and how to LIVE fully–because you never know how much time you’ve got. I turned 55 this summer, I am in the best health of my life, AND I would really like to live to be over 100.

So think about how you feel in your body… do you feel great? Or do your feel lousy? Do you have lots of energy? Or are you slogging through your afternoons? How is your self-talk–are you kind and loving to yourself? OR do you have a harsh Inner Critic? Do you sleep well? Or are you restless, and exhanusted? How is your digestion? Have you identified you food sensitivities and started eliminating them?

Colon health is no joke. AND it is the best place to start your healing journey.

How would your life be different IF you had Optimal Health?
