Day 19: I am grateful for the synapses in my brain!

365 Days of Wonderful – Day 19

I am grateful for all the synapses in my brain! I have been dutifully working on creating video posts for my Discover Wonderful You – 10 Day Empowerment Intensive… and boy howdy, I have been on the computer, learning new things for several hours… now I’ve slipped into tomorrow, when it still feels like today! LOL I know that I am creating new synapses, and staving off dementia with all these new connections that I am making! I an super grateful for neural-plasticity!

I have done my first FB post, using my computer… tried to attach my phone to my computer, so that I could record using the better sound and video quality. I have been figuring out how to save FB live videos to a private group. I was trying to figure out how to schedule a post, which I could easily see on y computer, but could not figure out how to do on my phone.

I am uploading videos to my You Tube Channel, so that I am able to get the embed code, and load them to my website. I am also trying to create an automatic newsletter with these new videos so that they will be pushed out automatically to new subscribers to the program… wheew. I am so grateful that this is the kind of thing that I have confidence that I can figure out… even as the wee hours creep into tomorrow! LOL

We can stimulate our brains by learning new things, driving home a different way, doing puzzles, solving riddles, and activating cross body exercises. Learning a new language, learning new vocabulary, and learning a new skill are all things that will enhance your brain function. This year, I joined Toastmasters, where I actively use new words, give speeches, tell jokes, and think and speak on my feet. I also learned how to sea kayak with the Mountaineers, and I am taking swimming lessons–so that I am able to do the crawl stroke with the side breathing… that is a brain bender for sure!

I am grateful for the Toastmasters, what an amazing organization. I am grateful for the Mountaineers, for their focus on safety, skill, an outdoor recreation. I am grateful for my sweet local pool, and for my swim instructor, for taking the time to help teach an old dog new tricks! It’s working!

So now you know, I am a bit techy, nerdy, sciency, and a lot of Wonderful! I am grateful for stretching my brain, and committed to completing this blog–even as I’d love to be slipping off to slumber land… this ELF has to work, until it is done and loaded for a 6a delivery! Too bad my boss is such a hard ass. I am grateful that mostly, she is so super cool!
